Excited to begin his first class

Yesterday was Garveys first day of gymnastics class. I have to admit, I was a blubbering fool. I tried to hold it in though.

A few weeks ago, we received word about an open house at a new gym opening in Harlem. We’ve been wanting to get G involved in something physically stimulating for some time, but knew he was too young. Well, as he is about to turn 3, I pushed for us to get him involved somewhere. This place, The Little Gym, seemed perfect!! They offer classes for kids of all ages. He is in the Funny Bugs group, for ages 3-4. They work on a variety of skills from listening, following directions, tumbling, building muscle strength, etc.

The coaches are energetic and experienced. It seemed like the other kids in the class had been there before. G was the youngest and the newest, but guess what? He didnt act out like some of the other kids. He came out one time because he had to use the bathroom and another time just to get some reassurance, but he didnt cry, scream, fight or anything. There werekids older than him acting the fool, but not my boy!! He listened, followed along, and had a GREAT time. At the end, he said “I want to go back in!” so we knew he was happy. I’m so happy that he enjoys this and I look forward to future semesters and other classes. He might end up being too tall for gymnastics, but the skills he is learning will help him with other things.

Did i mention they offer dance classes? QQ
